Howard’s Maplewood, MN Roofing Project
Whether it’s a work of art or a work in progress, there are few, if any, possessions one values more than their home. One of the highest compliments we can receive is when a past customer reaches out to us to complete multiple projects on their home. Earlier this year, that’s exactly what Howard in Maplewood, MN did. The first time we’d worked with him, it was to install LeafGuard® Brand Gutters. When he reached out to us earlier this year, it was to discuss the prospect of replacing his roof and adding more gutters.
Beginning Project with a Roof Inspection
Howard’s Twin Cities rambler is located in the Maplewood Heights neighborhood. The charming sandy beige rambler was built in 1952. One of the first things our representative did when he visited the home Howard shared with his son was climb up on the roof to inspect it. With each step he took, the roof shifted, a clear indicator that the roof deck was in need of replacement.
After sharing the different types of roofing Lindus Construction could install, Howard selected GAF asphalt shingles. GAF was founded in 1886 and is North America’s largest manufacturer of commercial and residential roofing. One of the biggest reasons we feel confident offering this roofing material to Twin Cities homeowners is that GAF’s Weather Stopper® 3-Part Roof Protection System and GAF’s Lifetime Roofing Systems have earned the renowned Good Housekeeping Seal.
In terms of shingle styles and colors, GAF offers a plethora of choices. After reviewing his options, Howard opted for GAF Timberline® Ultra HD® shingles. Compared to other architectural shingles, Timberline® Ultra HD® shingles are a standout because they have numerous layers. Their combined beauty and reliability are attractive features to potential home buyers. Insurance companies appreciate that they carry a Class A fire rating from Underwriters Laboratory, which is the highest possible rating. The roofing color selected was Hickory. This chocolatey brown is the perfect complement to the home’s sandy beige exterior and white shutters.
