GAF Roofing & the Good Housekeeping Seal
Purchasing a new roof for your home can be intimidating. This substantial investment needs to hold up to rain, snow, and extreme heat. As a roofing contractor in business since 1979, we understand the importance of recommending a roof that’s not only aesthetically pleasing, but is long-lasting. Our goal with each client we meet is to be their roofing contractor of choice for life. This can only be achieved if the products we install exceed client expectations.
History of the Good Housekeeping Seal
In 1909, Good Housekeeping magazine introduced their seal and awarded it to products that passed their stringent standards. This allowed them to confidently suggest reliable products to their readers.
Currently, the Good Housekeeping Research Institute employs both scientists and engineers to thoroughly test each product under consideration. Although thousands of products carry this distinction, the list of those that have failed is substantially larger. Advertising within the magazine does not factor into whether or not a product can earn the Good Housekeeping Seal.
GAF Roofing & the Good Housekeeping Seal
One of the main reasons Lindus Construction feels confident about recommending GAF Roofing is because GAF’s Weather Stopper® 3-Part Roof Protection System and GAF Lifetime Roofing Systems have earned the prestigious Good Housekeeping Seal. This provides the ultimate protection because each component in the roofing system is covered.
If any product with the Good Housekeeping Seal fails within two years of the purchase date and proper documentation is provided, the Good Housekeeping Institute will pay for a full refund or supply a replacement. What’s even more impressive is that GAF shingles are the only shingles in the roofing industry to have earned this esteemed honor, which was awarded 20 years ago.
Considering a New Roof? Here’s What You Need to Know:
Lindus Construction & GAF Roofing
At Lindus Construction, we feel it’s imperative to have open communication with the manufacturers of the products we install. We want to have a clear understanding of their processes, warranties, and new product developments. This allows us to confidently suggest reliable home improvement solutions to our clients.
While this company manufactures shingles that come with a 50-year non-prorated warranty on both labor and materials, they refuse to cease their innovations. In fact, last September, our COO, Andy Lindus, was invited to the GAF laboratories to meet with researchers about upcoming innovations and share his perspectives.
Lindus Construction appreciates working with a roofing manufacturer that understands the importance of vetting contractors. We’re proud to announce that our company is a GAF Master Elite® roofer. This distinction is one that only 3% of the nation’s contractors have achieved. Furthermore, we are a previous recipient of GAF’s Roofer of the Year award.
