Shoreview, MN TimberTech AZEK® Project
At Lindus Construction, nearly 1/3 of our new customers are referred to us by previous clients. This was the case for our clients, Fred and Marrielle. They’d recently had a friend have new house windows installed by our craftsmen. Pleased with the results, he’d been happy to recommend Lindus Construction to the couple, who needed a new deck.
Upgrading Their Shoreview Home with TimberTech AZEK® Decking Installation
When we inspected the couple’s current wood deck, it was clear that it needed full replacement. The wood had begun to rot in several areas. On their wish list was a maintenance-free deck that would be a great spot to relax and entertain family and friends. Learn more about the decking options we installed.
Deck Boards, Frame Skirting, & Bench Seating: Fred and Marrielle chose TimberTech AZEK® decking in Mahogany. What sets TimberTech AZEK® apart from other maintenance-free decking materials is that it is a capped polymer. This means that it does not contain organic sawdust, which can be found in other decking materials. The couple was delighted to learn that TimberTech AZEK® experiences less expansion and contraction than materials that contain sawdust. This feature is extremely important in Minnesota where extreme temperature fluctuations are the norm. TimberTech AZEK® holds up to fading, scratching, mold, mildew, and insect damage. The couple appreciated that the Mahogany colored deck boards gave the appearance of real wood. That’s because TimberTech AZEK® has a muted wire-brushed, minimal gloss finish. To offer the ultimate peace of mind, TimberTech AZEK® is accompanied with an industry-leading 30-Year Fade & Stain Limited Warranty.
Deck Railing: Fred and Marrielle’s previous deck railing had been made of wood. Staining the railing was a tedious chore they wanted to be done with for good. This was part of the reason they opted for a Fortress Fe26 steel railing. This type of railing offers a classic, yet appearance. Even more appealing is that the steel railing is manufactured to resist rust and corrosion.
After the project was completed, Marielle left the following online review, “Deck replacement with composite materials. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, on time and communication was good. The deck looks great!”
