Hugh’s Infinity® from Marvin Window Project in Deephaven, MN
The first time we’d had the opportunity to work with our client, Hugh, it was for the installation of LeafGuard® Brand Gutters. Having a property with many towering trees, he appreciated that the clog-free warranty would ensure that gutter maintenance was something he would no longer have to concern himself with.
Enhancing Hugh’s Deephaven Home with Infinity® from Marvin Window Installation
This past spring, he noticed that the wood windows in his home office were experiencing moisture damage and he reached out to our team for a quote on window replacement. In the past, he’d tried windows from other major manufacturers and had been disappointed by their lackluster performance. Having been a frequent listener of our weekly home improvement show, Hugh knew that Infinity® from Marvin Windows were well-known for excellence. Cautiously optimistic, Hugh decided to have our craftsmen install three Infinity® from Marvin windows in his home office so he could determine if we wanted to use this brand throughout his home. One characteristic that he appreciated about the Infinity® windows was their close resemblance to wood. He opted for the EverWood® interior finish because it could be stained to match the home’s preexisting dark interior trim.
Once the first phase of the project was completed, we received this from Hugh, “I had the Marvin windows installed and I’ll tell you they’re better than Andersen. The guys who put them in, Tony and Ryan, were excellent. I’m going to go get some more windows from you as long as Tony and Ryan install them. I’m very pleased.”
Happy to hear that both the windows and the craftsmen that installed them had exceeded Hugh’s expectations, we commenced the planning of phase two of the project that included the installation of seven casement windows. Here are some of the characteristics that make them so appealing:
EverWood® Engineered Finish: This proprietary wood grain finish emulates the aesthetics and sensation of actual wood. However, unlike wood, it does not require routine painting and staining. It is color matched to a home’s pre-existing woodwork.
Narrow Profile: Casement Infinity® windows are manufactured with a narrow profile for expanded views. This characteristic is particularly preferable for waterfront homes, such as Hugh’s. In addition, the Clear View® hinge allows for an expanded viewing field by ensuring the window sash fits snugly to the frame.
Ultrex® Fiberglass: Infinity’s® proprietary Ultrex® fiberglass is unique because it expands at the same rate as glass. This prevents the windows from shifting as the seasons change. Windows that experience rapid expansion and contraction are prone to leaking, seal failure, and cracking. All the aforementioned items are detrimental to the window’s overall energy efficient properties.
