Dan & Cynthia’s Woodbury, MN Siding, Window, & LeafGuard Gutter Project
It was the year 1993. Jurassic Park was in theaters, the series finale of Cheers hit the airwaves, and Justin Timberlake was making his mark on a show called The New Mickey Mouse Club. It was also the year that Dan and Cynthia’s Washington County home was built. The house, located in a great neighborhood, was pristine and had amazing character.

Flash forward to present day. The home was still stately, but several of its original exterior components had reached the end of their lifespan. The couple reached out to us because their home’s original siding, windows, and gutters needed revamping. With careful consideration for their home’s curb appeal, they opted to work with our designer to put together a cohesive look.
Here’s a synopsis of the work we completed to give their Twin Cities home a complete exterior make-over.
Siding: LP® SmartSide® wins favor with homeowners over other types of house siding for a variety of reasons. From a practical standpoint, it’s more impact resistant, has superior moisture protection, and creates less dust than fiber cement. Aesthetically, it comes in longer lengths than fiber cement siding which equates to fewer seams, creating a more beautiful appearance. The siding’s texture also closer imitates the look of real wood over other products. For their home, Dan & Cynthia opted for a seven inch lap and chose Briarwood for their primary color. Hampton Red shakes were incorporated on the gables to provide a captivating contrast.

Windows: Wanting feedback on the best replacement windows for their home, we suggested SeasonGuard windows which are exclusive to Lindus Construction We met with 17 different manufacturers prior to choosing the one that would craft our windows. We chose them because of their superior warranties, maximum energy efficiency, and an expanded visible glass area to allow in as much natural light as possible. One decision that Dan & Cynthia made that greatly enhanced their Washington County home’s curb appeal was the inclusion of tan grids in between the glass panes.

Gutters: The height of the home coupled with the yard’s slope made the prospect of Dan & Cynthia cleaning their own gutters an unattractive option. After learning how LeafGuard® Brand Gutters varied from gutter guards, they chose to have us install a whole new system. With this decision, if their gutters ever clog, our team will address the problem so that neither Dan nor Cynthia have to make the dangerous climb up the ladder.
