Chris’ Roseville, MN SeasonGuard Window Project
A common request among the 100,000 happy customers we’ve served over the past four decades is that their home improvements be completed with maintenance-free products. The first time we’d worked on Chris’ Roseville, Minnesota house it had been to install LeafGuard® Brand Gutters. Awarded the Good Housekeeping Seal of approval, they are the only patented, one-piece system that’s guaranteed never to clog or we clean them free of charge.
Pleased with the caliber of work completed by our installation team, Chris began to evaluate other areas of his 1960’s era home in need of enhancements. One of his biggest areas of concern was the home’s windows and patio doors. Points of contention included lackluster energy efficiency, view obstruction, and outdated woodwork. By the time our windows installers completed the project, 20 windows and three patio doors had been replaced. Here are the two rooms that experienced the greatest window transformation:
Enhancing Chris’ Roseville Home with Professional Window Replacement
Living Room
Problem: At our initial visit, the windows that were the focal point of this room were comprised of a combination of fixed non-operating picture windows with small awning windows at the bottom. The biggest drawback to this approach was that the window grids were obstructing the view of the backyard.
Solution: A fixed SeasonGuard picture window provided a more picturesque view of the property’s alluring backyard. In addition to their energy efficiency properties, SeasonGuard triple pane windows offer 27% more visible glass than similar windows. Chris made the swap from a wood grain look to white in order to infuse a more modern look to the space.
Dining Room
Problem: Overlooking the pool, the dining room’s windows were a combination of two operating casement windows and fixed, non-operating picture windows. While there was nothing wrong this configuration, it did have room for improvement, in order to provide an unimpeded view of the outdoors.
Solution: The middle window remained a fixed non-operating picture window. This decision was made because having such a sizable window with the ability to open out to such a high traffic area could prove problematic. In order to allow for ventilation, the side windows were updated to double hung. The advantage this style has over the crank out casement windows that they replaced is that double hung windows open top to bottom. This was especially important for windows that open to a deck with substantial foot traffic. A perk of choosing SeasonGuard windows is that they have a lifetime transferable warranty on all moving parts and should the glass ever accidentally break, it is replaced free of charge.
Upon completion of his project, Chris had this to say, “Lindus replaced all of our windows and patio doors. The SeasonGuard product turned out really well and the crew that did the work was fantastic. We would definitely recommend them!”
