Kimberly’s Storm Damage Restoration Project in Richfield, MN: Roofing, Gutters, Soffit & Fascia Installation
One of our top pieces of advice for storm damage repairs needed on a home is to have a small list of trustworthy local contractors that are familiar working with insurance claims and companies. Additionally, they should be able to provide a complimentary roof inspection to review any possible damage. Although it had been over two decades since she’d first worked with Lindus Construction, the LeafGuard® Brand Gutters she’d initially purchased from us had continued to be a point of pride on her home. When hail struck, we were one of the first calls she made for assistance. After performing a visual inspection, we were able to see the effects of hail damage on Kimberly’s roof, gutters, soffit and fascia. Here’s an inside look at the products our craftsmen and contractors installed to restore her 1950’s era home.

Storm Damage Roof Replacement:
After taking the time to fully evaluate asphalt roof shingle styles and colors, Kimberly opted to have our roofing contractors install Timberline® UHD with Dual Shadow Line Lifetime Roofing Shingles by GAF, which have earned the prestigious Good Housekeeping Seal of approval. Likely to increase the resale value of her home, she opted for hickory colored shingles for her roof replacement. They are a rich combination of brown and black which provide an ultra-dimensional look due to their specialty color blends and intensified shadow effects, enhancing curb appeal. The hickory color also tied into her chimney, a prominent feature on her home. Timberline® UHD roof shingles have a reduced chance of shingle blow-off and are warranted to resist winds of up to 130 mph. To ward off algae growth, they are infused with StainGuard Plus™ Time-Release Technology. Even more impressive is that the roof shingles are accompanied with a 50-year, non-prorated warranty that covers both labor and materials, making them the last asphalt shingles she should ever have to install on her roofing.
Soffit And Fascia Installation:
Kimberly understood that her home had been under ventilated and that additional airflow through the soffit was a must. There had been plywood under her existing aluminum soffit and our craftsmen were able to double the airflow by removing the old plywood and installing TruVent® soffits. An added perk of this product is that it will protect pests from entering her attic. In addition, the soffit and fascia replacement will ensure that Kimberly’s roof lasts as long as it should by keeping attic temperatures regulated. This, in turn, will lower her energy costs. The thick paint finish used on TruVent® soffit is guaranteed to never chip, delaminate, peel, or crack
Replacement: Gutter Installation:
Having enjoyed her home’s LeafGuard® Brand Gutters for over 20 years, Kimberly knew without a doubt that she wanted the patented system installed again to replace her hail damaged gutters. The proprietary, patented seamless gutter system pulls rainwater around the underside of the of its hood into the gutter. Through liquid adhesion, LeafGuard® is able to deflect organic debris to ensure it never clogs. In the unlikely event LeafGuard® Brand Gutters ever do clog, it will be our team of craftsmen remedying the situation, at no cost, rather than Kimberly.

Concluding All Exterior Home Renovations
After the exterior home improvement project was concluded, Kimberly left us the following online review, “I could not be more pleased with their work, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail on all aspects of the project. Even the flashing on the chimney looks 110% better than what had been previously done and is now caulked as well. I highly recommend Lindus and would definitely hire them in the future should a need arise! You will definitely not be disappointed!”
