New Richmond, WI Remodeling Project with Andersen® Windows & Insulation
Nate & Teresa are the proud owners of NP Design & Photography in historic downtown New Richmond, Wisconsin. Located in a century-old building, their space is no stranger to storytellers. In fact, it was once the home of the community newspaper. When they approached us for a consultation, they were most interested in the installation of new replacement windows. The preexisting windows had been boarded up and their studio was starved of natural light. They looked to us for a replacement window solution that would blend well with the location’s charming brick exterior.
Finalizing Window Replacement Options
After discussing options, the final selection was Renewal by Andersen® replacement windows. As local business owners, they felt compelled to work with another company in the area. As a past employee of Andersen® Windows, Teresa felt very strongly about choosing Renewal by Andersen® windows for her project. A benefit of working with a Minnesota window manufacturer is that they understand how to produce sliding windows that can handle extreme hot and cold temperatures. This Renewal by Andersen® Window installation offers the durability of wood, while still maintaining low maintenance properties. They come in a plethora of contemporary hues that are guaranteed to not fade, crack, rot, or blister. The exterior color of the Andersen® 100 Series two-section slider windows was a bronze which blended well with the brick. White was selected as the interior color that worked well with the space’s color palette.
Creating a Plan for Interior Remodeling
At the initial consultation, Nate & Teresa expressed an interest in defining spaces within the studio for consultations, wardrobe changes, and capturing the essence of their clients. (FYI-Nate is a three-time recipient of the Twin Cities High School Senior Photographer of the Year…no easy feat!) After further discussion, our team put together a remodeling project plan that included framing, drywall installation, new doors, trim, and crown molding.
Learn Why We Are Named “Best of the Best” Among Contractors:
Insulation Construction on New Richmond Property
As is the case with the majority of historical properties, the insulation left something to be desired. This was particularly true for the poor insulation in the walls of both the dressing and consultation spaces. This project presented the perfect opportunity for the application of spray foam insulation. This type of insulation expands to cover the entire area being targeted. As a result, moisture is unable to permeate it, which prevents mold growth. Air infiltration is also limited.
A Testimonial From The Remodeling Project:
Following the conclusion of the project, owner Teresa had this to say, “We were very pleased with the level of service that Lindus Construction provided to us and have referred Lindus to everyone that asks about our latest remodel.”
