Made in the Midwest
Call us biased, but we believe living in the Midwest is something to be proud of. After all, it’s home to the Mall of America, the Green Bay Packers, Rigley Field and Mount Rushmore. It’s the birthplace of roller skates, Twinkies and Kool-Aid. Nowhere will you ever meet friendlier people or harder workers. Here at Lindus Construction, we’re proud to work with an array of Midwestern companies that put out some of the most reliable and innovative improvement products you’ll find anywhere. Here’s just a small sampling of them:
Marvin Windows: Born in the tiny northern Minnesota town of Warroad, Marvin Windows is the world’s largest manufacturer of made-to-order wood window and door products. The Marvin family started out in the lumber business and shifted their focus to windows and doors in order to create jobs for local servicemen returning home from World War II. Each door & window the company produces is handcrafted, one-at-a-time, per the homeowner’s specifications. The company believes in innovation and holds 40 U.S. patents. Did we mention that the windows & doors are extremely energy efficient? Just one more reason to love them! (PS-If you’re in the market for new windows, we urge you not to make your purchase without learning the benefits of Infinity Replacement Windows.)
LP Building Products: One of our favorite siding materials, LP SmartSide, hit the marketplace in the late 1990’s. In the last 17 years, the company has sold more than 17 billion square feet of siding. Customers favor LP SmartSide because it’s impact & moisture resistant, can be painted any color and comes with solid warranties. We appreciate the fact that LP has manufacturing locations in both Wisconsin & Minnesota.
Andersen Corporation: With its corporate headquarters located in Bayport, MN, Andersen Windows is the continent’s largest window & door manufacturer. Having been in business for the last 112 years, they know a thing or two about producing weather tight windows & doors. With five different product lines, they offer a plethora of options sure to fit a variety of budgets and design preferences. Last month, Renewal by Andersen was ranked “highest in customer satisfaction with windows & patio doors for the first time by J.D. Power 2015 Windows and Patio Doors Satisfaction Study.
Kohler: Founded in 1873 by Austrian immigrant John Michael Kohler, this Wisconsin based company has evolved into a company with over 30,000 employees that offers the best of the best in plumbing fixtures and technology. Their products are elegant, modern & long-lasting. (One of our favorites is the new Choreograph Shower Wall & Accessory Collection.) Their core values include sustainability, stewardship and gracious living. This is part of the reason we love it when homeowners include their products in their remodeling or new construction projects.
