In 2019, Rachel had decided that one chore she wanted to forego for good was the maintenance of the gutters on her 1950’s era home. She appreciated the seamless design of LeafGuard® Brand Gutters and felt confident in their ability to remain clog-free even though her yard had several stately trees.
This year, Rachel determined it was time for an exterior overhaul that would include both her windows and siding. When possible, these projects should be done together to achieve the optimum outcome. Doing so also saves the homeowner money because caulking and sealing window openings, trim, and siding joints only needs to happen once. In order to enhance her curb appeal with maintenance-free products, Rachel opted to have our craftsmen install Infinity® from Marvin Windows and LP® SmartSide®. Here are further details about her project.
Windows: Infinity® from Marvin Windows are comprised of proprietary Ultrex® fiberglass which allows them to be maintenance-free. Ultrex® fiberglass is guaranteed to withstand discoloring, scratching, and denting. From a beauty standpoint, their character is unparalleled because of the intricate profiles utilized to imitate the aesthetics of wood windows. In addition, the narrow profiles of Infinity® from Marvin windows allow for expanded views. In all, our craftsmen replaced ten windows in Rachel’s home.
“The group of guys who did my windows far exceeded my expectations. They worked their magic and had them all installed in two days. They made sure every single window was installed properly and with no damage to my old house. They were even kind enough to hang a few curtain rods and were kind to my cats who wanted to be in the way,” Rachel said.

Siding: Rachel opted to replace her home’s worn-out energy inefficient siding with olive LP® SmartSide® prefinished in Diamond Kote®. This combination offers both attractiveness and reassurance, as the siding is backed by a 30-Year No Fade Warranty. Even more impressive is that the siding system is specifically designed to conceal nail heads that can distract from the overall allure of the finished project. LP® SmartSide® works particularly well in the Twin Cities because it is manufactured to withstand dramatic temperatures, excessive humidity, and the freeze/thaw cycle.
“My siding crew was also just as great as the window guys. They had a bigger job and did it all with a smile on their faces. The tear-off was a messy job but they got everything cleaned up and wrapped in two days. When the siding started to go up, they ran in to some winter weather but still kept working which was great. Their supervisor, Brandon, was great to work with. He was always so easy to speak to and made sure all my questions and concerns were answered. Zach was one of the guys who worked on my project and I believe he had been doing this for quite some time and he was very helpful as well. He even showed up on a Saturday to get all was caulking done (all while misting and cold out). These two were also kind enough to hang my address sign project (which was heavy) and this just completed the house,” Rachel said.
After her project was completed entirety, Rachel left us the following online review, “I want to thank Lindus for all their wonderful employees and the job they did. Mitch happened to be my sales guy for both projects and his kindness and honesty is what made me go with Lindus in the first place. Josh in the office who took care of all my scheduling is a saint. He dealt with all my calls and questions with a smile on his face. I was anxious to get the work started and he assured me the timeline. They took away my old and outdated home and dropped in a new and improved house.”
